Sheraton Nha Trang Hotel & Spa
Sheraton Nha Trang Hotel & Spa is a hotel tower at 26-28 Trần Phú street, on the seafront of Nha Trang, Khánh Hòa province, Vietnam. It was formally opened on 5 October 2010 by Starwood Hotels & Resorts and the developer, Công ty Cổ phần Địa ốc - Du lịch Đông Hải (Dong Hai Real Estate and Tourism), and was reported at the time as the first five-star hotel under an international brand in Nha Trang[1]. The opening report gave a total investment of 1,210 billion VND, 30 floors and 284 rooms[1].
The tower is listed at 115.1 m and 33 floors, and was the tallest building in Khánh Hòa province from 2010 until 2013[2][6]. It stood in Lộc Thọ ward[6], which Resolution 1667/NQ-UBTVQH15 of 16 June 2025 merged into the new Nha Trang ward, whose government operates from 1 July 2025[10]. In July 2019 ownership of the developer passed to Công ty Cổ phần Xây dựng Hạ tầng Đô thị Toàn Cầu, a company the press linked to BRG Group[4][5].
Location
The hotel stands at 26-28 Trần Phú, the seafront road of the city, on the landward side facing Nha Trang Bay[2][3]. OpenStreetMap maps the building as way 206245067 at about 12.2463 N, 109.1959 E, with the address 26-28 Đường Trần Phú[8]. A survey of the seafront high-rises published in July 2013 placed it in the row of towers on the low-numbered stretch of Trần Phú, with The Costa Nha Trang complex at 32-34 Trần Phú to its south[2].
The address lay in Lộc Thọ ward of the city of Nha Trang[6]. Lộc Thọ was not changed by the ward arrangement of November 2024. Item 49 of Resolution 1667/NQ-UBTVQH15, adopted on 16 June 2025, merged Lộc Thọ with Vạn Thạnh, Vĩnh Nguyên, Tân Tiến and Phước Hòa into Nha Trang ward; the resolution took effect on adoption and required the new ward government to operate from 1 July 2025[10].
Development and opening
The developer was Công ty Cổ phần Địa ốc - Du lịch Đông Hải, which opened the hotel jointly with Starwood Hotels & Resorts on 5 October 2010[1]. The ceremony was attended by Lê Thanh Quang, Party Secretary and chairman of the provincial People's Council, and Lê Xuân Thân, vice-chairman of the provincial People's Committee[1]. Báo Khánh Hòa reported a total investment of 1,210 billion VND and described the hotel as the first five-star hotel under an international brand in Nha Trang[1].
The opening report listed a set of restaurants and bars, a function room named Altitude and a cooking school, described as the first specialised cooking school inside a hotel in Vietnam[1]. Dân trí, surveying the seafront in July 2013, gave the same opening date of 5 October 2010[2].
Structure
Sources differ on the number of floors. The 2010 opening report and the 2019 business press give 30 floors[1][4][5]. The July 2013 survey gives 33 floors and a height of 115.1 m[2], and the English Wikipedia list of tallest buildings in Khánh Hòa repeats 33 floors and 115.1 m, with 2010 as the year of completion, citing that survey[6]. Wikidata, in a statement referenced to a travel trade directory, gives 30 floors[7]. The difference may reflect whether technical or roof levels are counted, but no fetched source explains it.
The Wikipedia list records the Sheraton as the tallest building in Khánh Hòa province from 2010 to 2013, when it was overtaken by the Havana Nha Trang at 150 m[6].
The room count also changed between reports: 284 rooms at the opening in 2010[1] and in the 2019 business press[4][5], and 280 sea-facing rooms in a Báo Khánh Hòa listing of March 2014[3]. The OpenStreetMap feature and Wikidata both carry 280[7][8]. The 2014 listing also gave 1,600 m² of conference space and seven restaurants and bars[3].

Brand and ownership
The hotel opened under the Sheraton brand of Starwood Hotels & Resorts[1]. Starwood was acquired by Marriott International in 2016, and ceased to exist as a separate company on 23 September 2016[9]; the Sheraton brand, and with it this hotel's flag, passed to Marriott. No rename of the hotel itself was found in the fetched sources.
In September 2019 the business press reported a change of ownership of the developer, then named as Công ty TNHH Địa ốc - Du lịch Đông Hải, with a declared charter capital of more than 945 billion VND[4]. On 23 July 2019 Christophe Jean Francois Lajus replaced Kelly Yin Hong Wong as its legal representative and general director, and on 26 July 2019 its owner changed from Cypress Assets Limited to Công ty Cổ phần Xây dựng Hạ tầng Đô thị Toàn Cầu[4][5].
Both reports pointed out that Toàn Cầu shared its head office address, at 18 Lý Thường Kiệt in Hà Nội, and its tax code with BRG Hà Nội, a member of BRG Group, and that the same legal representative held the same posts at the Sheraton resort in Đà Nẵng[4][5]. Vietnambiz concluded that BRG Group had likely acquired both hotels, but neither report cites a statement from BRG confirming it[4][5].
